I have been listining to a audio program about marketing from a guy named Joe Polish called Piranha Marketing. It has changed the way I think about business and about how I should generate clients.
In the past, I have thought that I needed to just focus on learning the system and strategies that LEAP teaches. They have said that you do not need to worry about marketing and about any of that because if you get referrals then you do not have a need to market, but I am realizing that that is not true in all cases. In some instances that is okay and they seem to do okay with it, but I am not convinced it is the best way to run a business. If you are the best salesman in the world, but you do not have people to talk to, you still starve.
Because of this, I know that I have the knowledge, but not the people to talk to. I have found a program (by Brian Kay) that helps market and now am ready to roll. I think that I have all the right pieces in place and now it is up to me to implement and follow through. It is getting exciting and I am enjoying learning about marketing. I am learning from Joe Polish and Brian Kay that I am not in the financial services business, I am in the marketing of financial services business.
