UNC vs. Weber State

my boys and iThis last weekend a bunch of us went to the UNC/Weber State football game here in Greeley. It was UNC’s homecoming game so you would think that they would be somewhat ready or pumped up to play, but they sure seemed crappy. Anyways, that is another story.

UNC 1I took Koby and Spencer with me and we got there a little early to walk around and see the sites. It was pretty fun because there were marching bands from both schools and also a rock band that the boys thought was really cool. Even though it was rainin, they wanted to see everything. When I told them that we could go see something else, they didn’t want to, they just wanted to hang out right there. Pretty soon they saw that the marching band was down the sidewalk, so we took off and went to see that. By the time that we got down there, they were playing and making lots of noise, which the boys thought was neat.

The marching band then started marching and playing and the boys and I followed them around a bit.

After we went into the gates, the football team was walking by (which I thought was weird. What team walks through the crowd to get to their locker room? Whatever.) Koby and Spencer sat and watched them walk by and after they came by, we went to find our seat.

Grandpa and everyone else were already there and we made our way up to the stands and Spencer sat on his lap for the first half and just watched. Ever since then he has been pretending he is a football player with everything that he does. It is really funny. He says (talking about himself) things like “Watch how fast the football player” can run, and then he takes off down the hall and back. “Watch how fast the football player can (fill in the blank.)” He thinks that football players are pretty cool. I turned on a football game last night and he stood right in front of the tv and watched for a while and was mad when I turned it off. We’ve created a monster.

UNC BearThe crowning moment was when a fan with lot’s of school spirit came walking by in his bear costume. He came right by us a couple times and gave Josh quite a view when he bent over and “hi-fived” the people across the aisle from us. I just turned to Kelsey and Heather and told them that they could enroll at UNC because there are obviously plenty of high quality guys to date here. It was pretty funny.
